Currently Loving: These Four Organic Face Serums

Affordable face serums for all skin typesFirst of all, I’m sorry. Long time no post. This was such an unintentional hiatus… Two weeks and no post? ah, I apologize. PS: I will be updating this post over the weekend with better photos. I didn’t want the lack of photos to deter me from posting today -_-.

Lately, My skin has been brighter than usual. I walk up to the mirror and wonder why my skin is so bright. I am still fighting dark spots that I got from a crazy break but my skin has seen significant improvements.  I know that serums are a huge part of this changes I’m seeing on my skin so I thought I’d share with you guys some of the amazing ace serums that I’m currently loving.

Up until recently, I haven’t really used serums to much but they have slowly crept into my beauty shelf in large numbers. I already did a post featuring my current collection of face oils and serums. However, these ones are new to me and definitely on my top shelf- I reach for each of these at least 3x per week.

So here we go!

NOTO Deep Serum  ($48/2.oz)

I got this face serum in one of my beauty subscription boxes a few months ago. I didn’t start using it until a month ago. I have since fallen in love with it. The ingredients in this product are amazing. It’s pretty much a powerhouse in a bottle that will do wonders for your skin over time. It contains ingredients high in phenolic, oleic and linoleic compounds works well to renew, hydrate skin and also reduces redness.

It is antiaging, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It healths skin wounds, purifies skin, calms and brightens and improves tissue healing. It is also highly moisturizing and rich in Vitamin C, A, E, and antioxidants.

The ingredients include;  Rosehip seed oil, Yarrow extract, Tamanu oil, Marula, Grapeseed oil, Mustard seed oil, Seabuckthorn, Wild carrot oil, Grapefruit, Caffeine crystals.

This is truly a nutrient dense serum. May I add that it smells absolutely divine. The citrus scent is very potent yet not overpowering at all. I always take a few moments to breathe it in and indulge in that scent before rubbing it into my skin. Your skin and sense will truly thank you for this one.

Maqui Berry Beauty Drops PM from SkinOwl($85/2oz)

This product completely had me shook. I have my own little collection from Skin Owl but this oil takes the cake. It his really potent and very hydrating. The ingredients in this product are so simple yet powerful. There are only about 5 ingredients in this one.

Face Serums for oily skin

The main ingredient is Maqui Berry which is very high in antioxidants and phytochemicals. This makes them great for fighting free radicals- thus reducing dull skin, skin cell damage and acting as good anti-aging properties. The second main ingredient is Cold pressed baobab oil. Baobab oil is very very high in vitamin C, A, D, E and K. It’s also high in omega 3, 6 and 9.

The other ingredients include Vanilla planifolia (vanilla) Co2 extract and Citrus reticulata (tangerine) oil.

I find this oil to be very moisturizing and lightweight. I use it day and night even though it’s recommended for PM. when I do wake up at nights, my skin looks incredibly bright and super healthy. I’m shocked by how bright my skin is. This product really does gives me a healthy looking skin, my skin appears smooth, vibrant and very glowing (not oily).

The scent is very mild but citrusy with a slight vanilla scent. This is one product I can’t go a week without. I use it almost every day and my skin thanks me each time.

Prickly Pear Illuminating Tourmaline Infused Beauty Nectar ($110/1 oz)

When my face started breaking out this summer, I was soo terrified. I had never had breakouts before so I honestly didn’t know what to do. The breakouts left my skin with crazy dark marks and I was all over the internet looking for natural ways to heal my scars. I found Lilfox which has become one of my favorite brands. They recommended the prickly pear oil and I had to get it. The price deterred me a little bit but when I found that prickly pear is naturally quite expensive oil, I decided to pay for this one.

This oil has done incredible things for my skin. It is super hydrating and has pretty potent brightening ingredients. This product is so versatile and works for all skin types. It is very high in vitamins E, omega 3 and 6, and Vitamin K. These ingredients work well to stimulate cell regeneration as well as correct skin discoloration.

This nectar also contains pomegranate seed oil which helps with regenerating skin cells. It really gives me a soft, smooth and youthful looking skin. It is anti-inflammatory, fights free radicals and protects against sun exposure. I really have nothing bad to say about this product. I really love it! My skin soaks it in so quickly and there’s no greasy left over.

Kaia Earth Pure Moisturizer Serum($89/1oz) *

I got this as a PR sample and was actually excited to give it a try – you know because I love serums. I was immediately drawn to the simplicity of the ingredients and the fact that they are all plant derived. This product claims to calm and soothe skin, boost hydration and enhance skin’s natural glow. It also claims that skin will appear visibly radiant and moisturized. I can say that I agree with all the above.

The ingredients include

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract, Triticum Aestivum (Wheat) Leaf Extract,  Aniba Rosodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil.

My skin always feels well moisturized when I apply this product. I do notice that it doesn’t absorb as fast as the other serums mentioned in this post. I’m not sure if it’s due to the water and oil content in this product (It’s the only product on this list that contains water so I’m speculating). None the less, it still gets absorbs into the skin.

It’s very high in antioxidants, vitamin E, and antiaging properties. This product draws humectant properties from the aloe leaf extract which soothes the skin and keeps it hydrated. It works for all skin types. I find it to be a very powerful oil with potent ingredients.

So there you have it! if you’re looking for face and/or next serums that work for you. definitely, check these ones out. I love that they’re so multipurpose and work for every skin type! Most importantly, they’ll moisturize even dry skin without leaving those with oily skin super oily.
