5 Tips To Cultivating The Habit Of Saying YES For The Right Reasons

    09/12/201809/13/2018

“Often times people say yes not because they don’t want to say no but because they love to be needed”. That was my journal entry on September 4th 2015. I’m not quite sure where that quote came from. I didn’t quote it on my journal so I can’t say if I thought that up or

Vegan vs Plant-Based eating: What’s The Difference?

    09/08/201809/08/2018

Since my transition to eating healthier a year ago, people have assumed that I am vegan. They are often shocked when I tell them that I am not really vegan. I mean, I understand the shock; I eat vegan foods majority of the time so how come that I not vegan? Well, I hope to

    Of Authenticity & September Intentions

    08/31/201809/02/2018

Authenticity I’ve been theming my months recently and quite frankly, it has been really helpful to me. Theming my months allow me to pay closer attention to areas of my life that I need to work on. This month, I am choosing authenticity. My goal is to learn and find the strength to be authentic.

Seven months later, I am finally writing this post on why I switched to using reusable sanitary pads. I got so many questions on this topic. So, every time I sat to write a post, I got overwhelmed. I tried to answer every question I was asked, for that reason, this post is longer than

Wearing Jane Iradale lipstick and headed out yesterday to our volunteer launch at an after school program with my little missions community. We get to spend the next weeks of school helping kids with homework, loving their parents, build relationships with them, play with them and just love and be loved. These little kids had so much love to give and were so fun to hang out with 🤗🤗

Being the hands and feet of Jesus means getting to work and giving to our neighbor in any capacity!
Stop waiting until you can travel to Africa and SE Asia to carry out this bogus mission trip 🙄. Start where you are! There are plenty of opportunities to serve and love on people.

    • “And then she realized that a fresh start was hers for the taking, that she could be the woman she’s always seen on the distant horizon- her future self. One step at a time. Starting today.”

2019 is exciting already. For once, I reconciled who I am today with who i desire to become. There’s so much work to be done to get there, but everyday is a new day to take one step closer. ⠀⠀
One step at a time. One step. I’ll meet her and I’ll be her. ⠀⠀

    • I choose wholesomeness and simplicity. New post on blog about why wholesome living and simplicity is at the top of my goals for 2019 and why li should consider it :)
⠀⠀ Unrelated crazy secret: I found an app that kinda lets you reduce your follower count. It does this by blocking and unblocking people (mostly inactive and ghost followers), which in turn causes them to unfollow you. I’ve been doing this slowly the last few months and still reducing that number. For some odd reason, it makes me happy. I know it’s counter intuitive; people want to grow- the higher the number, the higher the influence. But something about that has turned me off for months. So finding this option and trying it out has brought me some weird joy. I started it at 8,000 followers, so far I’m at 6,000. ⠀⠀
Whatever it is, I’m loving. If you see my follower count dropping like crazy, don’t be alarmed 😂. ⠀⠀
Do you think this is crazy? ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ #mindtheminimal #soulminimalist #embracingaslowerlife #beautyyouseek #littlestoriesofmylife #seekthesimplicity

    • “Self-reflection requires a certain degree of deliberation, of willingness to turn the magnifying glass on ourselves and be willing to accept whatever we find.”
⠀⠀
As my end of year self-reflection time crawls up on me, here’s what I’m seeing and learning to do more of:
~ Be gentle with myself
~ intentionally build quality friendships that’ll last
~ learn to be an intelligent investor, frugally save and invest more financially ~ put in 100% effort Into being a better version of myself
And more.......

    • Hey lovelies. Let me introduce you to @skincarebysilk A brand I recently discovered. I used to be someone who ran away from products that aren’t “hand made” in someone’s kitchen somewhere. Somehow, I thought it isn’t green enough. ⠀⠀
Lately, I’ve realized that life isn’t that black and white. When I received these products from this brand, I was iffy to try it because it’s not “hand made”. Be silk is EWG VERIFIED meaning that their product is Clean and not harmful to your skin. ⠀⠀
So I’m excited to try this Serum. It’s an anti-aging serum. Even though wrinkles aren’t my problem yet, I think it’s still fun to try because I’m trying to do anything to make sure my black dont crack too soon 😂😂
⠀⠀
Click on Their bio and let me know what you think!! Also, absolutely love the simplicity in this shot 💁🏾‍♀️💛
