Hey my dears!
I am currently in the process of moving to a new space and I’m super excited! Moreover, I have also spent the last few months decluttering my space as I’ve embraced a slow and conscious lifestyle. Not only am I decluttering my closet but I am also decluttering my skincare. I have so many of them, trust me! And with this blog comes the desire to try even more products (which I enjoy btw).
Since I’m moving, there are so many things I don’t want to take to my new space with me. This includes skin care products. I thought I’d share some of my product stashes with you guys as I declutter. So today, we are starting out with my face wash collection.
These are (mainly) all natural facial cleansers for oily skin (because that’s my skin type). I’ll let you know which of these products I’m taking with me and which ones I will or will not repurchase.

This one is my top favorite all natural face cleansers and my everyday go to cleanser. It is gentle enough to be used every day and “harsh” enough to be used as a scrub. I have reviewed this product HERE, Mentioned it as my Skincare essentials and it’s made it to my monthly Favorites. I love the mild scent and how great it cleanses my skin. This cleanser leaves my face clean and radiant without ever feeling dry. It cost $42-78 (depending on size) but it is definitely worth the price and one that I always want to have. When all else fails in the cleanser department, this always has my back. This is definitely a repurchase for me.
I was so excited to try this product but it didn’t live up to my expectation. It doesn’t do any “deep cleanse” for my skin except when I use it with my face brush. There’s really no scent to it other than a mild “kaley”/vegetable scent. (You know what your green smoothie smells like? yeah). This cleanser comes in a gel form and does lather but I still never feel thoroughly clean after it. I won’t be repurchasing because, at this point, I need something spectacular. This product is, however, may be great for anyone on a budget looking for clean ingredient product.
This product made it to my July Favourites List. After trying a couple of products from the sukin brand, this is one of my favorites. This is one of my favorite all natural cleansers. The only issue I have with it is that it’s becoming very drying for my skin. For that reason, I won’t repurchase. Other than the drying, I loved the product and will finish this bottle (which is almost gone btw). This is one of those products where you know will clean your skin especially after a long day of having makeup. But be sure to follow up with a good hydrating moisturizer to return that lost moisture to your skin. Another way to prevent over drying with this product is to use it 1x/day rather than for cleansing day and night.
This product gives me mixed signals. LOL. I bought it when I needed something gentle to use on my skin when it first started reacting to some ingredients. It is a very gentle cleanser (formulated with sensitive skin in mind) and I’m concerned it may be a little too gentle for me. LOL. I, however, enjoy using it with my spin brush and feel clean after. It is gentle enough to work for all skin types and concerns. You will never feel dry after using this product. I would consider it a moisturizing cleanser. Oh, and I love the white packaging. I would repurchase because we all need a gentle cleanser for those days when our skin needs extra TLC.
This product makes me want to scream “wtheck!!!”. LOL, I am so disappointed in it but then again my expectation for it wasn’t that high. I found this at my local store and was excited to try it in support of indie brands. However, using this product felt like washing my face with ordinary water. It’s awful. I will not be repurchasing and can’t recommend this at all. I only used it a few times and didn’t have any desire to try it again.
So this was one of the first product I bought when I ventured into organic skincare. This product is a gel cleanser. Smells like tea tree but doesn’t really tingle like most products containing tea tree would. It has a gel consistency but does lather on the face. I bought it because it was budget friendly for me at the time. I loved it then but I haven’t used it in a while. even though I enjoyed using this product, I don’t currently use it and so I won’t repurchase but it is a good option cleanser for oily skin. It’s also budget friendly.
This product reminds me so much of the sukin charcoal wash. It actually really cleanses my skin. But I’m beginning to find it to be quite drying as well. Although that dryness tends to go away after toning and moisturizing/using a hydrating spray which makes it bearable. It, however, is not as drying as the Sukin Cleansser. This one is relatively mild and might work very well for others. I’d recommend.
If there’s a lower end cleanser I’d love to keep in my stash, it’ll be this one. It is affordable (Under $10) and GMO, Paraben free.
That’s about it for my faves and least faves. Do remember that just because a product doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean it’s a bad product. Also, keep in mind that I try a lot of product and switch up products fairly often so that may have an effect on how my skin reacts to products over time. Products that I love but won’t repurchase is simply due to the face that I have many others I love to try and don’t want to hoard products.
Share your thoughts. Which of these products have you tried or would love to try? I’d love to know! Next will be Face scrubs… coming on Thursday 🙂
