New Green Beauty Favorites

(Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored. Some affiliate links are used.)
Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for another green beauty favorites post. This week is going to be the week of favorites :).

Since my last favorite's post which was back in may (WOW), I have been on a trial and error kind of journey. I have been trying quite a lot of products, scouting for new blogs, searching for new books etc. Let's just say, I've just been on the lookout for anything that'd better my life.

So for the green beauty aspect, I have been loving quite a lot of things including my oldies. I won't mention many of the oldies here because it'd be quite redundant but you can check out my other favorites here. So I will make this series a "new favorites" and limit it to the just new products that I have tried and currently loving.

My go to cleansers other than the Regenerating Cleanser has been the Sukin Purifying Gel Cleanser and Avalon Organics Cleanser. I love how gentle the Avalon Organics is and trust that it does the cleansing job for my skin. Now, I have had this product way before this blog launched and haven't had the time to thoroughly check the ingredients. Will definitely do soon.

While absolutely love the Sukin Purifying cleanser, I find it to be a little drying. I don't really like the feeling of dryness and tightness once I rinse it off my face. It does clean my face very well tho.

For my toner/hydration spray, I pulled out my DIY Rose water and Aloe vera spray. I realized just how much this used to be a major part of my skincare routine before I got obsessed with the OSEA Malibu sea minerals mist (which I still love). this toner gives me that extra hydration after toning with the witch hazel. I use it every time I wash my face-every time.

This deodorant from Briut Essentials has been my go to lately. Funny enough, I have had this since March but only started using it this month. I will do a full review sometime next week. It is very different from similar deodorant that I've tried. I found it to actually keep me dry which is a plus!.

Oh and then there's the Sanre Organic Plantain and Honey Mask. I loooooove this mask and have reviewed it in this Brand Spotlight and Review post. Do check it out. This mask really leaves me skin looking radiant, clean and soft. I use it 2-3x per week and my skin loves it. I absolutely love how it dries on my skin. It's almost like I can feel it tightening my pores. This is actually the only mask I have used this month.

For my hair, I have been absolutely in love with the TGIN's Daily Cream Moisturizer. Honestly, this moisturizer leaves me hair so super soft and moisturized. I use it every single day! My 4c natural hair has never been this soft. A double bonus is combining it with the twist define cream which gives me some glorious definition from my twist outs.

What are some of your current favorites? I'd love to know 🙂

Xo, Asaake.

I love LXMI skin care. I also love FARMACY skin care which is made in the USA. It contains Echinacea and Honey and is truly organic. The owners give to urban communities and help to develop improvement programs. Thanks for your research on LXMI. It is a great write-up!

I haven’t used anything from Farmacy yet but they have been on my wishlist for months. I follow them on social media and love the brand! Thank you so much for stopping by 🙂

I gotta try some of these out. On a different note… Do you use toners for your face? Realistically is it necessary? I feel like it’s such a wasted step in a skincare routine but maybe you can advise better?

Girl! I vote YES for toners! Depending on your skin type tho, there are different ones that claim to do different things. For the most part, a toner can nourish, hydrate your skin and give it back the balance it lost during cleansing. A lot of toners these days come with antioxidants infused in them to replenish your skin with any lost nutrient. If you’re just starting out, I’d advise something really mild and alcohol-free. A toner is different from a regular “hydration mist/spray”. Perhaps I’ll do a post on this too. Thanks so much for always stopping by, Adrina :-*

Thanks for the info. Didn’t know toners do so much! Please make recommendations of a brand of toner you come across for me cuz I hate reading all that stuff in the back and I am always rushing. 🙈 No rush whenever you come across a good one 🙏🏼

You can start out with witch hazel. (Start with alcohol free, unscented to learn what works best for you. I like either Thayer’s or Dickinson’s. Those are both under $10. 🙂

Can’t wait to read your review on the deodrant next week! I’ve only tried a natural one once before but it didn’t have the best results x

I always see Sukin products but I’ve never tried, would love to. I’m currently looking for a new hair moisturiser and this Thank God I’m Natural butter cream sounds great, thanks for sharing. I’m currently loving my African black soap. I’ve been using it as my cleanser for a few weeks now and it’s great. I admit it can be a bit drying though. xx

Sukin is great! I have tried three products from the brand and love each one! Plus I find them to be affordable and normally on sale around me too which is a plus! TGIN is heaven sent! I’ve never had any product soften my hair like this one does! You can feel how hydrated the hair feels hours after application! I also agree with you that African black soup is drying for me. Ugh. I want it to work so badly and I have a huge batch that I usually bring whenever I visit Nigeria!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my dear 😘😘😘
