Tata Harper Daily Essential Kit Review (Natural/Organic Skincare)

I bought this product before I launched this blog so I didn’t really think to take photos for the purpose of this post. Apologies

Since I found out about Tata Harper Skincare, I have been wanting to try many things from the brand. They are one of the leaders in organic/natural skincare and beauty. Their products and ingredients are very clean and definitely nontoxic. Tata Harper takes pride in growing their own plants with over 1,200 acres of farmland in Vermont. I was, however, hesitant because I just wasn’t sure that it’d work for my own skin. I mean, if I will be paying that much for a moisturizer, for example, it better work! My skin is fairly stubborn, oily and recently enlarged pores.

I knew that venturing into this brand would mean buying a thing or two at a time because to me, this brand is more on a high-end side. When I saw the Tata Harper Daily Essentials kit I was excited but hesitant. Excited because I will be able to try products from this skincare brand without breaking the bank just yet. Hesitant because the full name of the kit includes “Age-Defying Discovery kit”.  I thought the “age defying” in the name meant that the product was anti-aging-which isn’t really what I am looking for. However, on the website, it says The Daily Essential skincare kit is “a complete travel-sized regimen that provides every step you need for beautiful, glowing skin.” So this was great.

I was even more interested in trying products from this brand after the numerous great reviews I read about them online. So I ordered my kit from the Tata Harper Skincare’s website. It was $70 and the delivery was fairly quick. The kit looks like this

It’s a travel size, so the quantities are small. You can, however, use it enough to know if the products work for you or not and if they’re worth buying. Tata herself said, “This set provides a complete regimen for anyone looking for healthy, balanced skin that glows for days.” This is basically what this kit (and the full-sized products if you buy and use them) should accomplish for you. So it wasn’t fully “anti-aging” which I was nervous about. So did it accomplish the everything it said it would for me? Let’s find out!

The kit contained:

Regenerating Cleanser (15 ml) Daily exfoliating & clarifying treatment

Resurfacing Mask (7.5 ml) For instant glow

– Floral Essence (15 ml) Moisture boosting toner

Rejuvenating Serum (10 ml) Comprehensive age-defying treatment

Reparative Moisturizer (10 ml) Silky moisturizer for dry skin

Restorative Eye Crème (1 ml) Age-defying eye treatment

Replenishing Nutrient Complex (3 ml) Multivitamin face oil

Regenerating Cleanser (Daily exfoliating & clarifying treatment): $42 for 50ml and $78 for 125 ml. Good for Oily/combination/dry/normal skin types.

This gentle exfoliating cleansing treatment acts as a 4-in-1 product to thoroughly cleanse and improve glow while purifying, minimizing the appearance of pores and helping to protect the skin’s natural hydration balance.” I really love love love this product! When I first applied it to my skin, it glided on so smoothly. You could feel the exfoliants but it didn’t feel brittle at all. It reminded me of St Ives’s apricot scrub but definitely with finer, more gentle particles (and no chemicals).  I really looked forward to using this product every day! I could feel it doing the work. My face felt really clean after each cleanse and that is a plus for my stubborn skin. The main ingredients are fresh enzymes, essential oils, clays and microspherical beads.

This is to be applied on dry skin and can be used both AM & PM. I’m not sure if it’s just because of my Midwestern winter weather but I noticed it felt cold when I first apply it but warms up slightly when I start rubbing it in. It is supposed to remove the build-up of dead skin, minimize the appearance of pores and deeply cleanse skin. It did those things for me! My skin really did feel hydrated, and glowy. This product didn’t dry out my skin at all.

Overall, I really loved this cleanser. I will definitely be purchasing the full bottle and adding it to my regimen. If you can afford it, it’s a must have. It is pricey but it’s a great investment. I’ve found it cheaper on Ebay tho. So if you’re into Ebay like I am, consider purchasing from a trusted seller there.

The resurfacing Mask (For instant glow) $58 for 1 fl. oz or 30ml. Good for all skin types

This one is another fave of mine. Now I am still new into the mask world but I beginning to understand the benefits and definitely looking to add more masks to my collection/skincare regimen. The site boasts that “This award-winning beta-hydroxy mask works like a traditional peel to provide an instant solution for dull skin – without causing downtime or irritation. Delivers instant glow, helps minimize the appearance of pores and improves texture for smooth, radiant skin. Formulated to purify and remove surface debris and dead skin for a refreshed, instantly revitalized appearance.”

This mask glides on so light but don’t be fooled! I applied a second layer because I thought it was just too light; it has a light gel-like consistency. It should be applied on clean skin which I do right after the using the regenerative cleanser. The mask should help with giving you that instant glow, smoothen your skin, as well as help minimize the appearance of pores.

The instruction says to use it every day for 2-3 days and then reduce to 1-2/week which is what I did. You should apply it and leave on for 15- 30 minutes. (I left mine for 30 minutes’ cos I’m trying to get my money’s worth okay? Haha). I mentioned that I initially thought it was too light; surprisingly, it hardened. My face felt so tight even after 10 minutes, I was amazed! When I washed it off my face, I did notice the instant glow and my pores seemed shrunken. After using the entire jar, I did feel it really worked and was excited to purchase the full bottle. I will definitely be purchasing this one as well and will have it as one of my go to masks. I think it accomplished what it claims and for no chemicals? YES PLEASE!

Hydrating Floral Essence (Moisture Boosting Toner) $68 for 1.7fl or 50ml or $89 for 125 ml. Good for all skin types.

I didn’t use this one so much. I already have a toner that works for me, one that I really enjoy using as well as a DIY rosewater mist that I use religiously. I wasn’t ready to replace those so I didn’t use this one so much. However, When I did, I loved the scent and felt it gave my skin that extra boost in the dry winter weather! To know that it smelt so good with no chemicals? Amazing! The site says “this lightweight moisturizing mist boosts the skin’s natural hydration with biocompatible Hyaluronic Acid and a weightless blend of natural humectants, delivering a hydrated feel and plumper looking appearance.” They also recommend to use daily after cleansing for best results but it can also be used over makeup. The reviews are pretty good online on this one so if you’re looking for a mist/toner of some sort, perhaps you may consider it. I personally won’t purchase as I already have something that I am pretty attached to for reasonably less.

Rejuvenating Serum (comprehensive age-defying treatment) $98 for 30 ml, $158 for 50 ml.

This one, I used but not quite sure how I feel about it. I didn’t know what to expect when I used it. Unlike the cleanser where you can easily tell that it works based on how your skin feels and looks after use, this one is hard to tell. The site says “this award-winning, the best-selling concentrated formula helps to smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles while infusing the skin with Hyaluronic Acid, antioxidants, and vitamins for a healthier, firmer looking appearance.” They claim to have great ingredients that help minimize the signs of aging, reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles so skin appears radiant and moisturized. I always paired this with the reparative moisturizer. It has a light consistency and quickly absorbs into the skin which I loved.

Now, I don’t have dry or mature skin so I didn’t think this was very great for me. Interestingly, because the product is particularly designed for dry/mature skin I was expecting it to leave me oily but it didn’t. Instead, I felt a little initial dryness after apply both the moisturizer and the serum but my skin feels relieves soon after. I am not sure which of the two caused this because I never used them separately. I am still on the hunt for a good serum so all recommendations are welcome! Honestly, I will not be purchasing this individually because I couldn’t really tell if it’s working for me or not. Plus, I am not looking for any anti-aging skincare products just yet so this is not for me, a 25-year-old.

Repairative Moisturizer (silky moisturizer for dry skin) $105 for 50 ml or 1.7 fl oz. Good for all skin types, particularly dry/mature skin.

“This silk, rich formula delivers high-performance hydration with its blend of biocompatible hyaluronic acid and natural humectant for an optimal moisture balance and a plump look. Contributes to a radiant complexion, leaving the skin with a dewy finish.”

This product is supposed to deliver moisture and plump your skin (which is a great benefit of hyaluronic acid). It also should leave your skin well hydrated and give you a dewy/radiant appearance. As an oily girl, I run from the word “dewy” because I am already naturally dewy oily, however, this product didn’t leave me oilier than I normally would so that may be a good thing. I don’t think I will repurchase this particular moisturizer tho but I will definitely look to other moisturizers from this brand that’s best suited for my oily skin and will review when I try them.

Restorative Eye Crème (1 ml) Age-defying eye treatment. $95 for 0.5fl oz or 15 ml.

Did not use, don’t really have anything to say about it.

Replenishing Nutrient Complex (3 ml) Multivitamin face oil. $48 to 10ml, $125 for 30 ml

Did not use and don’t have any review for this one either. You could read more on the website and see if this is worth the purchase for you.

So, is this worth the buy? Yes and No. I would be totally all yes if we had a choice to choose the products to include in the kit. There are many other cleansers, moisturizers, and serums from the Tata Harper Skincare brand that I am desperate to try. The one thing I am very thankful about with this brand is that the products seem to meet their claims. The products pretty much did everything it said it would do for me for the ones I tried. So I can wholeheartedly recommend them. That means if you’re like me and don’t have mature skin or dry skin, you can look through the list of their products and just add to your collection one product at a time. If you however still want to try the kit just to get you started, I say go ahead. For the most part, I think this is a good experience.

Xo,

Asaake!
